I'm getting ready to paint a 40' XA-16 double-door auto car (built 1946.) Looking at the attached jpeg, when you zoom in on the roof, it appears the seam caps are painted, but the roof is galvanized. Looking at the edge of the seam cap where it overlaps the ridge of the roof, I see two different colors. I know the Q used galvanized roofs extensively on their box and auto cars, but it appear to always be painted. I've read a lot about paint failure to adhear to galvanized roofs and the paint failures that resulted (depicted very well in the modeling photos on the website,) but this does not appear to be just failure to me, but rather a lack of painting on this specific car. Does anyone have knowledge on the treatment of the galvanized roofs at Havelock? From all I've seen and read, the entire car was painted. Is it possible that the light and angle of this picture just makes it appear that there are two different colors? Thanks, Rich G _._,_._,_
