    Thank you Rupert for locating and adding this new content to the
    BRHS web site.  All BRHS members are indebted to your work and
    contributions. 
    
    Rupert and other BRHS members have over the past few years
    contributed thousands of digital content items.  The BRHS web site
    today, as reminded by members over this list recently, is full of
    information to fill the needs of modelers and rail fans alike. 
    For example, there are 8,972 photos of steam engines dating back to
    the 1800's. And 4,469 photos of diesel locomotives. In fact there
    are 38,403 photos that are fully searchable by powerful string
    searches. The majority of these photos are imported into the BRHS
    Photos System from the Flickr photo-stream account.  
    
    Included in this collection are photos of 4,187 of depots and
    stations. Speaking of stations there is a web page full of
    information on 1,977 stations, with links to alignment charts,
    Google maps, station photos and more. And that's not all! There is
    also the BRHS on-line Archives System with thousands of searchable
    documents that are located in the Baraboo facility. And don't forget
    the searchable steam engine roster data in the Members Only space
    with links to engine photos. 
    
    In short the BRHS web site today is a notable repository for tons of
    information covering the details and history of the CB&Q, and
    it's contents continues to expand thanks to members like Rupert.  
    When you are looking of information on the 'Q' for any reason, don't
    forget to check the BRHS web site. 
    
    PS: And if you have CB&Q related content that you can
    contribute, please let the BRHS know.

I’ve uploaded another 140 or so items to the BRHS Digital Library so there are now about 3,650 items in the Library.

Included this time is material from National Car Builder in the early 1870’s including trucks, the Aurora Shops fire and replacement buildings and details of B&MR coaches and “accommodating cars”.

From Railway Age 1943-1945 are articles about the replacement stations at Burlington and Rockford including floor plans, installation of CTC at several points, the Lincoln and Galesburg hump yards, Pendulum cars, CB&Q helicopter, Army passenger cars including troop sleepers, Pioneer Zephyr 10th birthday, Burlington-Rock Island lease, Silver Dome and the GM Astra Liner concept train which inspired it, and several articles on the proposed passenger equipment planned for when the War was ended including the Budd Budgette sleeper, Pullman casino car and AC&F sleepers.

Access to the Digital Library is through the Members Only side of the website, and it is the fourth “box” down. You can browse through a description of all the items uploaded or search for specific subjects.
