Hi Mark,
Take a look at the "Rosters" section of the BRHS website. This is off the main page and is available to everyone. There are several different rosters available including locomotives (both steam and diesel).
Also, in the Company Store - under "Other Printed Material) there are several Locomotive Assignment sheets available for various years. Again, this is available to everyone.
If you are a member, the Members Only option has many options for historical information. You can also save 15% on all Company Store purchases.
Thanks,
Scott & Nancy Stearns

Subject: [CBQ] Blackbird Paint Scheme in HO?
My HO layout, The CB&Q in Wyoming, has to this point been all steam (plus one Doodlebug), operating in the 1930-1945 era.
I'm considering moving forward a few years to 1945-1960, and switching to diesels for a variety of reasons.
Problem is, I know very little about the diesels that ran in that era, beyond the Blackbird paint scheme and introduction of the Chinese Red scheme late in that window. I know my modeled area ran a lot of SD9's, but I don't know much else.
Questions:
- Is there a compiled diesel roster for the Burlington similar to the one for steam locos (found in the members-only section of the BRHS website)? I also have a spreadsheet that provides a lot of data on assignments of steam locomotives across the Burlington
divisions. Don't know where I got it, but is there anything like that for diesel assignments throughout the years?
- What diesel locomotives are currently available in HO for the Burlington for my era, that's good quality? I see a lot of old Proto on ebay, but I don't want to have to do work on them to make them DCC / sound. More interested in what might be out there
new to dip my toe into the diesel world. Also more interested in the GP / SD locos, not so much the F and E units at this point.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Mark P.
