[CBQ] FS: Tom Mix-scratch built Proto:48 CB&Q Class F-2 0-8-0 Switcher

    Offered for sale is a unique Proto:48 model of a CB&Q Class F-2 
0-8-0 Switcher. This 1/48th scale replica of Burlington Route locomotive 
#552 is one of kind and was completely scratch built of brass and nickel 
silver by the renowned craftsman Tom Mix, who also scratch built 
Proto:48 models of Burlington K-2, O-2, M-4 and one of the R class 
Prairies. The Burlington's husky F-2 class was created by the Burlington 
incorporating many components from the road's T-2 Class 2-6-6-2 
locomotives. The workmanship that created this model is exquisite and 
the model is truly a piece of art. While I have never run it as I don't 
presently have a layout, I do know that Tom set it up with DCC. We moved 
to a much smaller home this past year and the change has forced me to 
drastically scale back the scope of my modeling and reduce storage and 
display requirements. This gorgeous engine deserves to be a centerpiece 
of someone's layout rather than living as a shelf queen or in a box.
    If you are looking for a low-priced steamer, this piece is not for 
you. This model represented a sizeable outlay when I purchased it in 
2020 and I would like to sell it to a fellow Burlington fan and P:48 
modeler who appreciates what this represents. I'm not necessarily 
expecting to recover my entire investment, but I'm definitely not going 
to part with it through a fire sale. I will entertain serious inquiries
