I’ll second Perrys’ comments. The meet facility was nice and meals great. I 
live less than 50 miles from Ladd, IL and have been there a few times over the 
decades but never stopped in at Rips. I’ve  heard about it for years. Now I 
understand what all the recommendations were about. Awesome chicken !

I’ve read books and on line information about the Cherry Mine disaster but to 
stand near the site and see all the photos and artifacts at the Cherry museum 
was enlightening . The museums presenter did a great job and answered every 
question.

Great meet turnout, but for the 90% of BRHS members and others who couldn’t 
attend, go to the BRHS website as there’s a really great new addition that we 
got full details on at the meet. It’s live and I spent too long going through 
it this afternoon after returning from the BRHS board meeting this morning.
