[CBQ] Question on date of photo

Hello group, 
I am brand new here. I hope I am not violating any rules now by starting a new subject.  I have a photo that was my mother's.
It is of her father who worked for the CB&Q all his life. He lived in Downers Grove IL just about 50 yards East of the 
CB&Q Locomotive turntable that was on the commuter line between Chicago and Aurora IL.  The photo shows him
on the far right standing with some of the crew on the turntable in the winter.  
   I am hoping that someone will know how I can find the approximate date the photo was taken.

When I was a youngster in the 1940s this turntable was still there.  I don't recall when It was removed.
Here is another photo of my favorite type to transport ever.  But First I want to tell you WHY I am so interested 
in trains and locomotives.  As I said my mothers father worked for the CB&Q. You can see him above on the 
far right.  But Also MY dad worked for a long time at Electro Motive as a welder making Diesel Engines!
