I did a little research and came up with the following. It appears that the "Palace Stock Cars" were used between 1871 and the early 1900's:

2. The use of Palace Stock Cars continued at least until early 1900’s on the Denver & Rio Grande

3. First Train of Stuart's Palace Stock Cars on the Pennsylvania Railroad occurred in 1871. Negotiations with John W. Street's Street's Palace Stock Car Company in 1871.

4. Street's Western Stable Car Company 

Acquired the equipment of the Canada Cattle Car Company ("C.C.C.C") and in 1895 [4], the cars known as the "Hicks" cars of the Consolidated Cattle Car Company. It's parent, the Streets Co., owns the Quaker City Live Stock Line Cars. (Ref 3)

Ref 2 shows the New York Butcher's Dressed Meat Company as a consolidated listing under Street's Western Stable Cars.

The Streets Company, incorporated in August 1915, in Maine, acquired at foreclosure sale on August 19, 1915, the assets of the Streets Western Stable Car Company, which had defaulted in the payment of principal and interest on its $1,600,000 gold bonds.
