Hello group, I just joined this group to ask for your help in identifying a good brass steam loco mechanic. I've been working on repairing an HO scale Overland CB&Q M-2A 2-10-2, and have corrected more than a dozen problems on it, but one continues to elude me: an intermittent siderod bind. I've measured everything about the loco's running gear, and found that the engineering is sound in many respects. When I received the engine, the siderods' holes and crank pins had been quite worn. I've repaired that problem, actually more than twice in some cases, but I still have not been able to isolate the bind that occasionally causes the running gear to seize. If there is an experienced brass mechanic out there who would be willing to take a look at this case, I'd appreciate your consulting on this engine.
