Try Northwest Short Line for gearbox and motors. I put a Faulhaber in mine but I don't know if they are still around.

Well, I finally managed to find an S-2 Pacific in HO. I bought it about a month ago and am getting ready to convert it to DCC.

I started cleaning it up today, disassembling the gearbox and removing the petrified grease. As far as I can see, the gearbox is a pile of crap.

In prior threads about these locos, someone mentions using a PSC gearbox as a replacement. When I search for that, I get a bunch of automotive steering gearboxes from PSC Motorsports.

Who is PSC in the model world, and how do I search to find those gearboxes?
