No, this will be on SmugMug, like the Lake States offering. Anyone can view the pictures (with watermarks) and they will be available for purchase as a scan or picture. We
are initially scanning the CB&Q company negatives, taken in the 1940's - 1960's for the Q that were recently donated to the Archives. We are scanning them at 2400 dpi, adjusting the scans, and adding known metadata so they will be high quality images.
We're working on the scanning and adjusting and will be testing the SmugMug site prior to opening it up to the public.

Re. your last paragraph. Will this be a separate photo collection on the BRHS website with direct access for members?

Subject: [CBQ] Robert Milner Photo Collection on Lake States Website
Robert (Bob) Milner, a long-time BRHS member and an excellent photographer, died in April of this year. He donated an extensive photography
collection to Lake States Railway Historical Association. Lakes States has scanned and posted his collection on their website - https://www.lakestatesarchive.org/ They have a color album with
120 images and a B&W album with about 300 images. The images range from 1947 to the 1960's. Here is a splendid example of the the images you will find: https://www.lakestatesarchive.org/Robert-H-Milner-Collection/CBQ/i-JLBmhpV/A
He shot many railroads and there are 37 albums covering a host of different roads. Be prepared to spend a lot of time looking.
A reminder; the archive is searchable throughout all the collections. For instance, if you want to search Savanna IL you go to the main
archive page - https://www.lakestatesarchive.org/ type Savanna IL in the search
box, and it returns any of their scanned images with Savanna IL in the metadata. (573 for Savanna.)
If you become a member, you get a 20% discount on all scans or physical photographs.
The BRHS Archive scanning team is actively working on the Society's CB&Q negatives, slides, and photos. We are creating a similar website
through SmugMug for CB&Q images.
