In case you haven't seen this announcement, the NPRHA and Rapido are working together to produce the North Coast
Limited. This project is conditional and each car will only be produced if there are enough reservations. Here is your chance to start assembling an NCL that isn't brass!
I would imagine that the cars will come lettered for the North Coast Limited with decals for reporting marks and
car numbers. They may also give RR specific options should the project go forward as well. Don't forget the Rapido Slumbercoach project as well. More information on that is below as well.

A NP passenger car release that has long been hoped for is finally upon us and will hopefully result in many more to come.
The NPRHA is extremely excited to announce the conditional release of Northern Pacific Day-Night Coaches in both the Loewy and Streamline pain schemes. This is car series 588 to 599 that served in the North Coast Limited from initial production to the end of
the NP, and beyond. Originally purchased starting in 1946, these coaches were built by Pullman-Standard.
This and future NCL models are being developed as a close partnership between the NPRHA and Rapido Trains
Inc – the premier manufacturer of model passenger cars.
HO model features include the following:

Designed from original blueprints and field measurements of existing cars

Accurate interior and exterior paint and lettering, approved by the NPRHA

Highly detailed underbody arrangements appropriate for this paint scheme era

Truck and skirt tooling specific to this paint scheme era

Fully detailed interior configuration, tinted windows where appropriate

Multi-color interior decoration

Full flicker-free track-powered interior lighting

Accurate free-rolling trucks

Metal magnetic knuckle couplers
Conditional Release – This car will be produced if the NPRHA and Rapido receive sufficient orders to justify
the production investment. And the long-term plan is to produce many other NCL cars if this project is a success. Please do your part and get your reservations in ASAP so this car is merely the start of a long line of high quality NCL cars!
Pricing – While the final pricing has not been set, we expect these cars to sell for roughly $150. Reservation
costs will be applied to the customer’s final price of purchase. All NPRHA members receive an 8% discount, which is more than the Rapido early bird discount of 5%. When buying three NCL cars, the NPRAH membership pays for itself using the 8% discount.

Based on Tacoma convention conversations, its apparent some folks don't know that Rapido already has one North Coast Limited car well into development – the Slumbercoach. This is THE Slumbercoach to have. You can learn more about this excellent model here:

Conclusion
As mentioned we plan to produce many more NP passenger cars, with an emphasis on North Coast Limited cars
if this project is a success. If your interested in seeing more cars produced, its in your best interest to place a generous order for this car to get the ball rolling. If this car is not a success, the initiative will be done. So get on board and reserve
with the NPRHA ASAP.
