Here’s an update on the upcoming RPM Chicagoland Conference, which will be held on Friday, 27 October and Saturday, 28 October, 2023 at the beautiful Northern Illinois University Conference Center on the NIU campus in suburban Naperville, Illinois (1120 E. Diehl Road, Suite 150, Naperville, IL 60563).

Our focus this year is hand-picked presentations by leading modelers, authors, historians and model manufacturers from around the country.  We’re offering 33 clinics, many twice, plus at least three hands-on exhibitions to advance your modeling skills. Vendors and railroad historical societies will be on hand to support your modeling and research needs.  Our latest vendor list can be seen at https://www.rpmconference.com/index.php/vendors/.  If you’re interested in joining us as a vendor, contact John Golden at Golden1014@yahoo.com.

Bring Your Models!  Display your models, finished or unfinished, in our two large display rooms.  All scales, gauges, eras and sizes are welcome.  There are no contests.  Models teach and inspire your fellow modelers and have always been an important part of our annual event.  The Resinators will meet on Friday evening so bring your resin for show-and-tell.  Of course there’s no fee for displaying models, so bring one or one hundred—we’ve got the space!  

HO Scale Midwest Mod-U-Trak 2 and the N scale Modutrak will be set up in-house.  See more at https://www.rpmconference.com/index.php/layouts/   After hours, Bill Darnaby's fabulous HO scale Maumee Route railroad will be open for visitors on Thursday evening, and Ted Schnepf will host an operating session on his large, O scale Milwaukee Road layout on Sunday morning.  Both home layouts are open to registered Chicagoland RPM guests only.  Registration for home layout tours and operating sessions will open shortly.

Registration will increase after September 30.
