The vast majority of the BNSF executive fleet is ex-ATSF cars. The only ex-Q car in regular executive service is Silver Veranda, now BNSF 35 "Canyon View." They also have Silver Chair as geometry car 91 in service and Silver Ranch at the shops in Topeka in storage. This does not include Silver Penthouse at the HQ in Ft. Worth and BNA 1 "Mississippi River," ex business car Burlington.

I just received a call from a friend(non rail fan) who spotted a group of heritage passenger cars that included what he thinks were Zephyr cars. I think he saw a BNSF business train as he said there were about 10 cars in all(non Amtrak) pulled by BNSF freight units. This happened a day or two ago.
Anybody know anything about this train and does the BNSF have former Zephyr cars in business train service ? Or did he see ex ATSF cars ?
Thanks,
Leo Phillipp
