I ran across an extensive list of BNSF track segments, with historical information, that may be useful for research. It's on an NP site (NPRHA.org), but covers the whole BNSF system, so CB&Q stuff is in there. It's a large Acrobat (pdf) file (2.6MB, 800+ pages), so you may or may not want to download it.
