Hello,

Might anyone on list have some recollections regarding the technical details and operations of the Burlington's early order board semaphore signals (the style with the beefy, wooden mast)? These signals appeared to be very prevalent on the B&MR across Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska until replaced by the newer Federal steel mast signals, though some did survive into the 1970s on stations with less business.  I'm very curious about the style of train order lamp that these signals used and the general operation/layout of the interior levers. Did anyone save a blueprint or standards drawing of these? Any interior photos of the bay window showing these details? Do any of these early signals exist that could be measured? Any help is much appreciated.
