Yes, this was the waycar sold at the Harold Jones online auction. I was in Crete on June 21 to pick up some other items from the Jones Estate (a donation to the BRHS archives) and spoke to the new owner of the waycar. He and his father were preparing the car for the move and had removed the cupola. The new owner is a BNSF engineer who lives near Mt. Pleasant, IA and plans to put the waycar under cover for restoration. He tells me he already has some Amish craftsmen lined up to do wood work. I believe his name is Mr. Engebretson (sp?) I think he's acquainted with you, Dave. I heard a comment recently that this is the last extant waycar that was built (or rebuilt) at the CB&Q Plattsmouth, NE car shops. Perhaps someone on this list can confirm this?
