Thread-topic: Coil Steel Cars on the CB&Q
I have my own slide taken in 1970 of 3 or 4 of the then 'new' covered green steel coil cars coupled up & sitting by themselves on near N side of Peoria yards.  Was told they were were committed to serving Caterpillar.  Would make sense as Cat was likely the largest single point steel user of all Q shippers.
