All- A postscript to Dave Lott’s history of the Mark Twain Zephyr! At least there is relevant precedent case law on the topic! Too bad the lead locomotive wasn’t a U-boat! Charlie Vlk On Nov 15, 2021, at 9:53 AM, Dave Lotz <Dave_Lotz@bellsouth.net> wrote:

Subject: [CBQ] Train hits barge
A train hit a barge tied to the shore in Montrose on the K-Line last Saturday night derailing two locomotives and overturning several coal cars. I have heard a story that the Mark Twain Zephyr once hit a barge somewhere on that line. It sounds like someone
not too bright on the river will be responsible for this. Was this a frequent occurrence?
