Thanks Dennis, I remember this well from the film. Do you have any idea what the Diner's original name was? Assuming it was "vacant" prior to being used in the film.

The diner name was changed to “Swallow” for the movie. The building was torn down soon after the movie filming.
I derived this from the blog in the link just sent to the group and the discussions therein between Gary Oleszewski and Karl Rethwisch in 2000..
