Would it not depend on time frame? Did they tend to change horns or always use the same ones? I know for example on the GP20'S they were delivered with horns on the fireman's cab side, but were eventually moved to top center. Didn't know if maybe some units also changed horns altogether across the years. I think your premise is, however, correct.

Group...Were the horns on these locos Wabco E2 type or Leslie A200. I see in Zephyr issue 30 that the Fs and GP20s had type E so I wonder if the same is true here and probably the SD7/9s as well.
