The loss of the Monmouth station or any station is lamentable.

 

I have been looking at stations online and am surprised at how many still survive, many as museums. Many have been moved from their original site but are still well maintained. 

A good list of surviving stations is at the Railroad Station Historical Society

http://www.rrshs.org.

While it is difficult with the current shutdown in many areas I would encourage everyone to visit some of these museums.  They could use the support.

 It is amazing to see the variety of stations the Q had.
