Scott, as you say Fr. Tim is very detail oriented.  Has amazing energy, I think he gets it from Gary, his father.  Look forward to seeing more on this project.  You & Nancy stay safe & stay healthy.  Burt

All;

Thanks so much to everyone who responded to our query for details on the CB&Q gallery car interiors.  We think we have everything we need to keep the project rolling.  For those who sent specific email questions/comments, we'll respond to those individually.

Up to this point, we've been quiet about the person working on this project.  This was simply because we weren't totally sure of his intentions other than to create gallery cars for his layout and a few for ours.  After a phone conversation this morning, we're able to give more information on who is working on the project and some of the future intentions.

The gallery cars are being created by Father Tim Oudenhoven in Dorchester, WI. As you can tell by his title - creating 3D printed train cars is not his "day job". Along with his daily duties, Tim is currently working on multiple 3D projects along with the gallery cars.  We weren't sure if Tim was interested in making the cars public - so that's why we didn't mention it earlier.  As of this morning, it does sound like they could become generally available once testing is completed.  As we initially said, Tim is very detail oriented - so he wants to make sure these cars are as high quality as possible.  From what we've seen with other projects, he's going to come mighty close.  He's planning to test the daylights out of these cars both on his layout and ours.

At this point, no availability dates, prices, etc. are set.  Father Tim joined this CBQ group this morning with the intent of posting more information in the very near future.  Please watch for those postings with sample pictures and other information.  Feel free to contact Father Tim directly or you can go through Nancy & myself.  We've offered our assistance down the road in whatever way we can help.  Other than finally getting gallery cars on our railroad, we will have no financial interest in whatever direction Father Tim decides to go.

It will be nice to have quality gallery cars available at a reasonable price - finally.  Thanks a bunch, to Father Tim for his help.

Scott & Nancy Stearns
