i work the old papers of Burlington Iowa through Little Dixies Library from Mobily Missouri for free. the are always showing people that got hurt here in Burlington and going out about 70 miles in any direction send me a note and i can get you started

I don’t know about the official records but you could try searching the newspapers and trade magazines which are available on line. The job will be easier if you can find the actual date of your great-uncle’s death, or at least the month, and the approximate location.

Are there any on-line records of CB&Q workers killed on the job and circumstances? My family recalls a great-uncle killed in 1892 and wondered how to confirm that fact through Q records. He's buried in Galesburg.
