Dave and Bill:

In Bulletin 17, the caption accompanying the photo of Second 100 at the bottom of page 15 indicates that it kept its shadow-lining longer than any other Q car, not being repainted solid silver gray until 1969.

I suppose that may limit those who favor the car in the non-shadow-lined version, if they are strictly prototypical modelers.

This car is very attractive in either paint scheme.

On the 2nd 100. I see in Mike Spoor's CB&Q Guide in Color 2nd 100 was originally shadowlined. When did it revert just to silver paint? Rupert's index refers to a plain silver paint version in 1969. And what paint scheme is North Bank doing?

I looked at Bulletin 17, the Office Car Bulletin, but it did not answer the paint questions.

It looks like the Q Connection price on these cars will be between $750 and $775, but like all brass projects, the price is not final until the project is almost finished.  We will require a $200 deposit for each car reserved for this project.  I apologize that  I won’t be able to get my website changed until tomorrow to accept the reservations and deposits.
