That was all I knew at that time, I did repaint trucks black but not underbody.

Thanks, Bill. Out of curiosity, why did you paint the underbody freight car red? All consortium reefers were black on the bottom, including BREX cars.

BRE was part of the FGE and WFE consortium, and all member reefers had the same corporate paint scheme – the one I posted earlier. These reefer trucks were always painted black.

In climbing up and down on 7,000+ associated cars BRE/WFE/FGE and National Car Co. I never saw anything but silver roofs
