Louis,

I doubt this is Murray Yard. Because the yard is under the landing pattern of the Kansas City Downtown Airport (which in the Q era was the main airport), there would have been beacons on the top of any tall objects. The planes are pretty low when they go over Murray. Plus the track layout does not appear to fit other diagrams and photos. Same is true for Hannibal.

I thought about maybe St. Joseph because of the bluff from downtown St. Joe northward, but again the track arrangements and the building does not match.

All - Can anyone on this List identify where the attached image of CB&Q 161-C was taken?  From the river bluffs in the far background, the location might be Savanna, IL; Dayton's Bluff (St. Paul), MN; or Murray Yard (North Kansas City, MO). Does anyone recognize the location?

The high voltage lattice transmission tower behind the F3 might jog someone's memory. Plus, note the variation in how the road numbers are displayed. It's 161C under the headlight, but hyphens are used on the number board and sides that show 161-C - Louis
