[CBQ] Burlington History in Downers Grove Presentation

Sorry for the short notice . The BRHS will be making a presentation entitled 
“The History of the Burlington in Downers Grove” this Friday evening at 7:30PM 
to the Railroad and Shortlines Club of Chicago at Union Station. Event will be 
held in the Amtrak conference room. Enter through the Jackson St entrance west 
of Canal St or go to the far south side of the great hall and walk up to the 
second floor.
All are welcome to this free event. 

Presentation will cover the suburban terminal, industries served, the major 
wrecks that have occurred, including the 1947 plunging of the Twin Cities 
afternoon Zephyr into the depot. Find out how and why it happened.
