This car and the other 6-wheel coaches I mentioned were used in suburban service. When the Q was trying to eliminate ice-air cars from the mainline trains, those that were good enough were painted in this scheme and used in suburban service. The color scheme lead me to think they were actually used on the suburban trains.
Scott & Others, This is a one-of car. This is not the 4-wheel commuter coaches, it is a six-wheel coach Number 4527. Dave We'd be interested in 3 to 6 of the heavyweight coaches for our suburbans.
A new poll has been created: Most of you know that The Coach Yard is going to import the Burlington's Anniversary trains in HO scale brass. It has been discovered that the heavyweight coach No. # 4527 (class PC-9, with Trane a/c) was painted in the suburban green and cream paint scheme. This poll is to find out what interest there may be for them to offer this car as a part of the project. 1. Yes, I'm interested in reserving this car in this paint scheme 2. No, I'm not interested Vote Now
