Thanks, Bill and others who responded. It sounds like photos from the late 1940s and early 1950s aren’t available, so I’m left to speculate on answers to most of
my questions.

Subject: Re: [CBQ] NE-10 Waycar Questions
The book being referred to is Waycars of the Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy RR by Dan Holbrook and Steven Lorenz. The publisher was Prototype Modeler magazine and has been long out of print. The photos of NE-10 waycars in the book are from the 1960s.
The only profile photo of a NE-10 (from 1940 - 3/4 view shot) I could quickly find is in The Burlington Waycar Drawing Book by Randall R. Danniel published by Milepost 206 Publishing as a companion to their Waycar book. This was a large format book with
pages of drawings of Burlington waycars. There is a large page with the arrangement drawings of a NE-10 as built. I know the book was a very limited print edition. I did a quick search and found that Des Plaines Hobbies has a copy listed for sale.

I don’t have and didn’t know about a paperback caboose book. Would you be more specific with title, author and date of publication.
