Thanks Jim and Fred for your effort. Wow there was an Oak Brook one !
Leo Sorry no Brookfield.
Scroll down the RR posters to the Bs
Leo: I checked with Pete Briggs and he does not have any of the "Land of the Burlington" posters in his files. He did advise that the advertising agency involved was Tatahm Laird and Kudner. A computer search of this firm says they are "no longer active". Fred Crissey
In the mid 1960s the Q ran a P.R. program entitled "Land of the Burlingtons" or something close(it's been a long time). The posters were designed for and posted at each Chicago suburban station.
I am looking for one of the Brookfield posters(or a repo). It's to be a Christmas present
To one of my daughters who know resides in Brookfield about 3 city blocks from the station and commutes downtown when not traveling all over the U.S.A. She and husband just completed the total gutting and remodeling of her at home office. There's a perfect spot on a wall for the poster.
Can anyone point me in the direction of securing either an original or a repo ?
Thanks,
Leo
