The attached photo was posted on one of the io groups recently, but I don't
remember which one and I couldn't find it in the archives of several groups I
belong to. The notable thing about this car is that it has running boards with
latitudinals, corner grab irons on the roof, side ladders, and presumably end
ladders, thought that's not proven by the photo. This photo is the only troop
kitchen I've seen with ladders and running boards, and I'd like to know the
date they were installed, and whether or not other troop kitchens were
similarly converted. Charles Franzen photos as late as 1953 do not show running
boards and ladders, so presumably, they were added after that date.
