Hi Scott:
Just an FYI for you about a BRHS feature which is available to you, because you have Admin privileges on the web site.

About a month ago I finished with the BRHS Message Center which lets folks who have Admin privileges send out emails to many different segments of BRHS members.


I don't know a lot about group.io and whether or not it reaches all members of BRHS or just those who are signed up. I believe it does reach folks who are not members.
Anyway,  I do know that this new BRHS Message Center will reach all BRHS members. For example option #5 (see image below) will cause your message to reach all voting members. 

The system uses the BRHS membership database to create the email lists, which happens at the moment of sending the message. That means they should all be up to date.
If they are not they will bounce and we will need to have them update their email address.

We're sending out this last call for the BRHS Annual Meet in Sandwich, IL.  The fun start next Wednesday with a cookout at the Plano Depot.  We still have openings for both the Depot Tour on Thursday and the Chicago Union Station tour on Metra on Friday.  Additional activities are happening on Saturday and Sunday.

Since this is the 40th Anniversary of the BRHS, we will have a unique guest speaker at the banquet Saturday evening.  Cathy von Ibsch - a former Zephyrette on the REAL California Zephyr will be here from Oakland, CA to talk about her life on the rails.  Having talked to her in person, I can guarantee that her presentation will be very interesting.

There's still a few days left to send in your registration via PayPal.  If you're going to mail it, I would send it tomorrow!  Nancy and I will be leaving Minnesota on Monday.  Our last time to check the PO Box will be on our way out of town on Monday.

This is a special anniversary for the Society.  We're hoping you'll join us for the fun.
