Rupert - The boiler must've been used to power a steam air pump for pressurized air to run the air brake instruction stands.  I guess that in 1907 pressurized air wasn't all that common at branch line engine terminals. Yes, I'd like to see an article - Louis

Yes, there’s some information that it was converted from a mail car at Aurora, and has its own boiler room. I’m wondering if there is enough interest in a Zephyr / Bulletin article on this subject.
