The capital bill was introduced and passed on the very last day of session of the Illinois General Assembly, with funding for new intercity train service and new transit monies for the Chicago area.

Hear what's in store for Illinois' future. Kendra Johnson, program manager, Midwest High Speed Rail Association, will speak. Also, Adam Kerman will show a briefing put together by RTA staff for their board meeting.

Bill Reynolds will present movies converted to DVD of various railroad excursions and events, including Farewell to the E Units and several steam road excursions.

Railroad & Shortlines Club of Chicago meets at Chicago Union Station on the third Friday of the month at 7:30 pm, except in July and August.
