I am fairly certain that this photo is north of East Dubuque, just south of MP 189. The overhead bridge in the background is Bridge 188.84, which I believe is access to Dam 11, and may have been U.S. Highway 61 many years ago. The semaphores are at
about MP 188.95. These were gone by the early 60's, replaced with searchlights, so the photo was taken sometime between 1954 (dome cars are present on NCL #25) and that time.
