Here is what their flyer says will be on the CB&Q GP7s (Blackbird scheme):

- Brass Dual Wabco "blat" air horns

- Brass firecracker radio antenna

- Operating Gyralight upper headlight & emergency red stop signal (DCC only) lower light

- NEW - Vapor standby heater on long hood

- Winterization hatch

- Steam generator intake & exhaust

- Early Pyle dual sealed-beam headlights

- Metal sunshades

- Short-hood forward operation

- Bolted handrails

- ESU LokSound for DCC operation & Sound

Based on this, it sounds very similar to what latest run Athearn GP7s in Chinese Red were except the sound decoders are different.

If you download the Walthers app for your phone or tablet, the fliers now show up about 2 weeks before they appear on the website. So this was shown in app version of the flyer on January 15. They showed up for order about a week later and the flier was posted on their web site (and I received mine in the mail) on Monday.

I have the LokSound decoder for a GM&O Intermountain F unit and they truly do have a Wabco dual single chime airhorn sample.

About a week ago, I posted an email question on the Walthers web site asking if the announced GP7 (920-42402, 920-42205, 920-4904 and 920-4905) would have Mars lights and correctly placed headlights per the prototype photo they show, among the ‘road specific details’ advertised. I have yet to receive a reply. Perhaps it would underscore the importance of these prototype details to the modeling community if others asked the same question. If you want them to do it right, please let them know what we want!
