According to Hol Wagners “The Colorado Road” it was C&S coach 538. 

Built by Pullman in 1906, it had steel undrframe added in 1922 and was converted to  Machine Operaters car 99604 in 1953..

Saw this recently-closed listing on eBay, of C&S #99604, which is a wood car (but from the windows maybe not a coach, perhaps something like a lounge or parlor) in MofW service, with stenciling next to the vestibules which says "machine operator".  As a passenger car researcher, any info on this car's history would be appreciated.
