Yes, Dave, the second photo pinpoints the location; eastbound, main #3, La Grange Road station in the mid-morning.  Looks like the 9912A, "Silver Meteor".  Wonder how long they had the crossing blocked?  Maybe publicity photos for the annual La Grange Pet Parade, which were held on a Saturday, in the Spring or early Summer.  Suspect this is a Main Line train and therefore, would be an Aurora Division engine crew out of Galesburg.  Oooooohhhh, Pancho!
