Video features: Burlington Steam in revenue service, early diesels and motorcars on obscure Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri branch lines. Also featured are action scenes of Rock Port, Langdon, and Northern in 1941 depicting former Burlington 4-4-0 No. 440 pulling a Jordan ditcher. Wreck scenes are included - two on the St. Joseph Division. There is live action in the clearing of these wrecks including Burlington officials in “full dress uniform” directing operations. 

 

Photos and movie camera action run from Chariton, Iowa on the east to Denver, Colorado on the west. 

Detailed maps are included on the video so you always know not only what you are looking at, but exactly where you are as you watch each scene unfold. 

 

Lots of action on the St. Joseph Division around Corning, MO and branch lines in that area. 

 

This production will evoke memories of the old CB&Q as it was in the era from 1940-1954. 

 

Video runs 1 hour 28 minutes.  This DVD has a chapter menu for your convenience in reviewing particular sections.
