Thanks Leo (I knew your memory was better than mine). Don't need exact location, just wondering. Was it in the dip east of Burke crest? Where did name come from?

Honey Creek is a new one for me. Might be interesting to see a list of forgotten places on C and I and elsewhere.

Yeah, I knew it was g"grandma and grandpa". Just wondering who they were. The Harding story likely gives the why. And they weren't just daylight. I saw a light in the window giving a highball several nights at very late hours.

Doug,

I’ll get you the exact location of Daggets when I get back to the office today and pull out a horse blanket ETT. For general purpose right now let’s just say a little east of Burke.

Another long gone station is Honey Creek, just east of Oregon.

The highballs came from “grandma and grandma just east of Milledgeville. They would be seating at what appeared to be their kitchen table. Usually between about 1AM and breakfast they were off duty.

During daylight they’d be outside and give us the rolling inspection from their backyard.

Bob Harding made sure they got at least one newspaper delivered from the cab with a couple short pull on the whistle cord each morning as he went east on the local.

A little help with my senior moment (Leo?) - where on the C and I was "Daggets"? And does anyone know the origin of the name?

Also, the highball we used to get in Milledgeville, even in the middle of the night. Does anyone know who that was?

Thanks, Doug.
