Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q GP7/9 Steam Generator details
I am wanting to add a steam generator stack, etc to my HO Bachmann GP9. Are the locations for these on the GP9 identical to the locations on those GP7's that had a steam generator? I have found some photos
in my various CB&Q books, BRHS calendars, and articles that are somewhat helpful for GP7's, but not GP9's.
Similarly, does anyone have a website link or book/magazine page with a good overhead photo of the short hood on these locomotives that clearly show the locations for the stack, air intake, etc (and the horn, for that matter)? Most of the photos I have seen
are, of course, shot from ground level.
