Can't help with the location, but the black diesel is GP40 EMDX 22 (35055, 5/69).  It was later PC/CR 3270 and is extant as MEC 354:

It's my understanding that these were built as warranty protection units as opposed to lease units, but I could be wrong on that.

Also, does anyone know what the black diesel numbered 22 is. Perhaps, a lease unit? Comments, anyone? Best Regards - Louis
