Ricky

According to the ORER, BRMX 5100-5149 and BRCX 5150-5199 had an internal length of 44’ 7½”, and an external length of 53’ 4” when built at Havelock in1963 (which, I think, was length over strikers), which was changed to 55’ 11’ in 1965 when the criteria was changed (length inside knuckles).

I guess I should ask another question instead.  The Burlington Bulletin indicates they are 55' between the striker plates.  Does that mean if the striker plate protrudes 2 1/2 feet from the end of the car, that the 5' is then added to the body length?

Thanks
