I got this as a record years ago. It was recorded arourd Lincoln in early 1950’s and is mostly mikados. Good sounds.
There are four others, two of which have some Q sound tracks. You can download just the tracks you want as well as the whole disk.
Easier to search for "smithsonian sounds of steam” it will show all five records.

There is a CB&Q/C&S sound CD made from probably the same original master , plus four others of mixed railroads available from Smithsonian Folkways recordings. Cost is $17 plus abhot $5 for shipping. It takes some work to find this as one must enter the Smithsonian Folkways site, then go to SHOP, then drop down to GENRE (which is at the bottom left of the screen. Enter GENRE and drop down to SOUNDS, enter and school down to fine the steam locomotive recordings. This CD is the first one listed. Its titled: Sounds of Steam Locomotives, vol. 2. The Catalogue number is #FW 06153/FW 6157. I just ordered a copy so give me a week or two for a report. If you click on the recording it lists the tracks, a nice mix of steam power.
