NYC and Q shared power on LS-3 westbound, and I believe NY-4 eastbound.  (I'm certain on LS-3, not positive it was NY-4).  Don't know what symbols they were on CB&Q, nor where they went to off NYC.  But in those days foreign power was much less common than today and that train provided a welcome sight in an otherwise black world.  They apparently did a shuffle near the hand-off point, as I don';t recall ever seeing a Q unit in the lead on NYC, at least not by the time it got to western NY. 

I note that was 1968.  I know the above was the case in '67, and of course by 8-68 would have been PC not NYC any more.
