I would agree, that is definitely the Creston coal shute. Although it was before my memory, I grew up there and Dad was an engineer on the Q. It didn't last much longer as I believe it was demolished around 1963.

I am scanning some old slides and came across the attached view. The locomotive is 5632 and the photo was taken on June 7, 1959. The train is westbound and had departed from Chicago the previous evening. This was the first Illini Railroad Club annual excursion from Chicago to Colorado and the D&RGW narrow gauge. I believe this photo  was taken in western Iowa. Can anybody identify this location?
