The kitchen equipment is still in place on Ceres on the NZ set at IRM in basically the original configuration, I believe. I don't recall ever hearing that this was needed to be restored when they got it, so I would imagine it was left in place and blocked off.

In the late 60's the two dining cars on the Nebraska Zephyrs, Ceres and Vulcan, were retrofitted with vending machines in the dining portion of the cars, along with some tables and chairs.  Does anyone know what was done in the forward, or kitchen, end of these cars. I am trying to determine if the forward end was also equipped with tables and chairs.
