The one I saw everyday when a certain person was on the job had a T handle and was displayed dangling from the key ring. Wonder if he modified it, after maybe someone advised to be a bit more discreet.

OK, I'll show my tender young age. What and where were Pintsch gas lights used ?

I say Bill had nothing more than another Signal Department "key" to "steal" the unlocks for the crossovers at Rochelle (the most used location).  The one he showed me had a "screw driver" type handle.  This key looks like it could adjust a Pintsch gas light, but was used very little (spent more time on a key ring or in a pocket).
