The station is still there, it is a visitor center, there are shops and I believe some rooms can be reserved for banquets, weddings, etc.  It is part of the Haymarket area.  I do not know what happened to the steam locomotive and other static displays as the tracks were pulled

Does anyone have an update & links to information on the fate of the Q station & locomotive in Lincoln, Nebraska ?

Gene told me last fall that the U of Nebraska was planning to demolish it for a sports complex.  

Larry saw something on Facebook about it, but I can not find it.  

Has this happened yet ?  

Where will the steam locomotive be relocated to ?
