The nickname of the poor guy who put the E on Broadway was goon belly. The first two initials of the guy who pushed the trucks/traction motors out through the wall was KD

Could well be there were others. As I've had an offline conversation with Bob Campbell, who had talked to many engineers in the early 70s about hostling steam and how difficult it was once the firs had been dropped to put the locos in the house. He commented about the wheel marks in the concrete floors beyond the wheel stops in various round houses. I do recall them in the Eola Roundhouse.

I thought I had heard one punched through at the old (current) roundhouse and wall patching was still visible.

Thanks for the appreciative comments about last nights Aurora presentation. I was really impressed with the turnout and especially the Q and A afterwards. Lots of great questions showing real interest. Almost started to remind me of Jim Cramers "lighting round " as we batted Q and A's back and forth in pretty quick succession.

And to answer Doug's current question, the "on Broadway" events were at the "new Roundhouse" that no longer exists.
